This definition has been on my mind for sometime now! I thought, we would share the meaning of codependency for today's quote. This quote is more on a personal level, I remember the day, I realized, I was taught codependency by all the key players in my life… my PARENTS. It can be a challenge to be taught weakness and develop strengths from all the negative lessons in life. Taking responsibility for my actions was key in overcoming the obstacles that I had no choose in and the obstacles I designed with my own two hands. So, understanding, taking responsibility, and making changes within yourself. These are three ways to become codependent FREE!!

Realizing that, I was codependent in every aspect of my life was hard to swallow. Once, I realized, I had to change within myself and steer my children in the right direction(at least, I hope so) and hopefully change the pattern of our family. No matter, what challenges you have in life remember, everyone has challenges, but just in different ways.

It is possible to change, through sheer determination I change my life for my children, myself and all those I love, I have taken responsibility for my actions and I have now forgiven myself for all of the not so great choices in my life.. I feel that realizing and forgiving are the biggest keys to change in a person. It is to evolve and be happy in this beautiful thing we call LIFE.

It's HUMP day!!!

U.G.L.Y. wants to hope everyone is a productive Hump day!! I have been so busy this week, that I realized, I wasn't breathing at all. So, the challenge is to take a deep breathe, let the oxygen get to our brains. I believe that you will be able to focus again and keep it moving. U.G.L.Y. always wants you to the take the opportunity to give a helping hand, it does not take a lot to offer a helping hand, you know, it can be as simple as opening the door to help the fellow patron, nodding your head to acknowledge someone, and it can be as little being aware of your surroundings.

I realize that the haze is pretty bad here in our great State of Utah, so please don't take this quote literally. So, if you have breathing issues please stay inside today. The forecast is calling it a Yellow day.

Fabulous Friday a.k.a T.G.I.F!!!

U.G.L.Y.  wants to wish everyone a fabulous and productive Friday. We are so excited for T.G.I.F, it is freezing outside and lots of snow time to hit the slopes. There are many of great things going on this weekend here in our great state of Utah. Oh ya!

We know that the path with the greatest resistance is the one with the greatest outcome. We are only given what we can handle and what we do with it is ours.  The path may seem extremely unbearable, and we may think that there is no way we can do what we need to, or handle what we've been given. But…. YOU CAN. Yes you can do it! Believe you can do it. Deep down in your soul. We are all given the strength to do anything. Yes You can!

Through this journey of developing U.G.L.Y.  Utah Girls Love You, we have seen our share of negativity. But truly understanding that our reaction is key to changing the negative into a positive.  With U.G.L.Y. starting from the basement floor with a small idea and we still have the passion and drive to stomp our way to make differences here in Utah, it is truly our ULTIMATE goal for U.G.L.Y.

U.G.L.Y. is enjoying sticking to our motto of  “Positive = Positive”.

Terrific Tuesday!!!

U.G.L.Y. wants to wish everyone a terrific and productive Tuesday!!! Keep your heads up and keep it moving, think positively each and every step.

U.G.L.Y. was able to give back this holiday season and we hope that we were able give a little hope in Utahns' lives this season with our "Bag of Hope". We focused on the our efforts towards the less fortunate Utahns throughout Utah county to Salt Lake County. We were able to handed out 85 "Bag of Hope", 10 coats, 15 blankets and many other much needed items on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.

I wanted to share our feeling of giving this Christmas and explain the need for not only less fortunate but many Utahns are struggling to feed, cloth and keep a roof over their families heads this year. So, U.G.L.Y. has decided to continue our efforts in giving back year round, not only during the holiday season but everyday. We have our two programs Helping hand and Single Mommy Project, these programs  are near and dear to our hearts, in one way or another these two subjects have been a challenge in our personal lives. So, in refocusing our direction and commitment to making a difference in our communities and bring diversity and understanding to our great State of Utah.

We Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for all of the donation and huge amount of support from our families, friends, and followers. We hope to make you guys proud and we can start to see the diversity for all.
